Modular and sustainable exhibition stands

Today we consider sustainability to be very important. Unfortunately, with the large number of stands and people at a trade fair, the idea of sustainability is often the first thing to be dropped. However, sustainability is more than recycling, doing good for the environment and making sure things last longer. It is part of a bigger picture that offers a positive vision of the future. But did you know that this mindset can also be applied to stand construction?

Sustainable Exhibition stands

There are a number of ways in which you can contribute to a sustainable stand yourself. The first has to do with how you portray sustainability to potential customers. You might be quick to give out flyers or booklets. The idea itself is not bad, but it involves using a lot of paper. You can save some trees by finding another way to share this information with your customers. For example, think of an app where you can share this using a QR code, or an LED screen where you can display this information.

If you plan to give away goodies in goodie bags, or plan to hand things out to your staff, you can also keep an eye on sustainability. Are there things you can reuse from a previous event, or do you use things on-site that you can give a second life to?

Do you want to cater food and drinks at your stand? Then try to use disposables as little as possible. Do you have no other choice? Try to look for materials that are recyclable. Furthermore, you can decorate your stand with beautiful plants to add a little greenery.

How can the stand builder help?

You can also pick a stand builder who works sustainably. Previous projects often leave materials that can be reused, or that only need minor adjustments. They can also choose to use LED lamps, for example, which use less energy.

At Standcraft, we incorporate sustainability into our process from start to finish. We use modular systems and choose suppliers that are in line with our sustainable vision. We also store components in our own warehouse, so that we can handle things even more carefully. Furthermore, we strive to minimize the kilometers we travel and drive electric cars whenever and wherever possible.
